THE LIVING LAYERS
A JOURNEY THROUGH THE KOSHAS
Bangkok & Koh Lanta, Thailand
March 19 - 29, 2026
Ten nights. Two incredible destinations. One unforgettable journey.
Join us for sensory journey through the koshas, culture, and coastline of Thailand. This retreat is designed for people who crave movement, adventure, and deep relaxation. Over the course of ten nights, you’ll experience the contrast between the vibrant big city energy of Bangkok and the laid-back tropical island paradise of Koh Lanta. Explore ancient temples, savor local flavors, and immerse yourself in Thai culture before retreating to the island where yoga, ocean breezes, and unspoiled nature create the perfect reset!
From the vibrant pulse of Bangkok to the slow rhythm of Koh Lanta, this 10-day yoga retreat moves through Thailand’s outer beauty and your own inner layers, using the ancient yogic framework of the koshas to guide each step. These five layers (body, breath, mind, intuition, and bliss) invite you to explore what’s beneath the surface and reconnect with the parts of yourself that daily life rarely makes space for.
The journey begins with three nights in Bangkok, where the energy is electric and the sensory experience is full throttle. You’ll stay in a boutique hotel and explore the best of the city’s culture and chaos with guided temple tours, canal cruises, and a visit to the ancient capital of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Next you’ll fly from Bangkok to Krabi Airport (domestic flight suggestions will be given closer to retreat dates) and take the ferry with your group to Koh Lanta, known as Thailand’s “chill island.” We’ll spend seven nights in private bungalows just 100 meters from the sea. The onsite restaurant and bar serve fresh and nourishing Thai and California-style cuisine and cocktails. This part of the journey is all about softening. You’ll move through two daily yoga practices, including vinyasa, yin, restorative, pranayama, and meditation. Days and practices will be themed around the koshas and the inner landscapes they reveal. You’ll eat well, rest deeply, and reconnect to the rhythm of your own breath.
Throughout the week, you’ll explore more than just your mat. We’ll snorkel through hidden lagoons on a speedboat day trip, learn to cook authentic Thai dishes in a hands-on cooking class, and walk the lush trails of a jungle national park with a local guide. In between, there’s time for hammocks, smoothies, shopping in town, or a glass of wine by the pool.
Whether you’re riding a tuk-tuk through Bangkok or floating in the Andaman Sea, this retreat is a living, breathing reminder that transformation doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like being fully present in your body, your breath, and the world around you.
Come ready to explore. Come ready to feel. Come ready to live the layers.

We will fly from Bangkok Airport (BKK) to Krabi Airport (KBV). From Krabi, a group shuttle will pick us up and take us to Koh Lanta. The drive is about 2 hours and will include a ferry ride. You will be able to get off and walk around on the ferry.
*NOTE: The flight cost is retreater’s responsibility, but the shuttle & ferry are included in the retreat price.
**About 6 months before the retreat, I will send a recommended domestic flight so that the group can book the same one and travel together. In previous years, this has been a 10:00am flight, arriving in Krabi around 12:30pm. There are many flights options with affordable rates. The retreat shuttle from Krabi Airport to the venue will depart at 1:00 PM.
-
The shuttle from the retreat center to Krabi Airport will depart at 11:00 AM. Since the van needs to cross the sea to the mainland, occasional delays can happen. We recommend booking flights at 4:00pm or later.
