  • Travel light! You may have to carry your own luggage at times. Peru is very casual. Pack extra clothes in your carry-on luggage in case of lost baggage.

    • Warm pajamas - Heaters are provided in each guest room, but there is no central heating.

    • Layers (August is winter in Peru)

    • A comfortable jacket for mornings + evenings

    • Flashlight or headlamp for the nights in the gardens (I personally usually use the flashlight on my cell phone)

    • Slip-on shoes to easily enter/exit yoga studios + spa rooms

    • Converter or transformer to 220V, 60 cycles AC. Mac products support both 110V and 220V.

    • Good walking shoes or lightweight hiking boots

    • Earplugs - There is no noise ordinance in Peru so be prepared for those infrequent times when dogs get rowdy or neighbors and nearby towns celebrate local festivals with loud music

    • Wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and lip balm. The Andean sun is very strong!

    • Insect repellent + long pants for Machu Picchu. Keeping your legs covered while hiking.

    • Anti-bacterial wipes or hand sanitizer

    • Leave jewelry + valuables at home. Wear an inexpensive watch.

    • Money belt to wear under your clothes + a secure place for your phone.

    • Small daypack for water bottle, camera, trail snacks and sunscreen

    • Light rain jacket or waterproof poncho

    • Favorite snacks like energy bars, nuts, etc, that are not readily available in Peru

    • Morocco is a liberal Muslim country, and men and women are welcome to wear shorts and T-shirts. 

    • Swimsuits and bikinis are normal on the beach, but it is advisable to cover arms and legs when walking around town. Shorts, tees and flip flops are the norm.

    • Note: Both beach towels and bath towels are provided.

    • The yoga shala is fully equipped with yoga mats, yogi toes, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, lavender eye pillows, and even sandbags!

    • Morocco is on 220 volts with two-pin round plugs.

    • Light, breathable clothing
